In addition to the main cargo handling and storage services, Western Stevedoring also provides a number of additional services that help to effectively facilitate loading processes and meet customer needs. Such additional services include cargo packing, weighing, processing, railway wagon driving and customs brokerage.
Striving to provide a full range of services, Western Stevedoring offers bulk cargo pre-packing into big bags. The Company operates several packing lines, which enables it to achieve effective results. The main commodity undergoing pre-packing is fertilisers. Under current conditions, the Company is able to deliver 1200 big bags tons of pre-packed cargo per day.
We also offer cargo labelling and other additional services related to cargo handling and preparation for further logistics’ processes.
The scope of the Company’s services cover the possibility of accepting cargoes that arrive or depart by rail. We provide railway wagons transportation service from/to Draugystė Railway Station. To ensure purposeful distribution and reloading of cargoes delivered in railway wagons, we have a widely developed railway network throughout the territory of the Western Stevedoring with the length of the tracks exceeding 6.5 km as well as we use our own internal combustion locomotives for shunting railway wagons. We can accumulate simultaneously up to 120 railway wagons upon arrival at the Company, where they are loaded or unloaded for further transportation of the cargo.
Western Stevedoring can also offer CFS (Container Freight Station) services. The available equipment and experience allow us to efficiently organise and carry out work that includes operations involving the container transportation into/from the station, container unloading/filling and turning, as well as other related tasks.
Export or import-related customs procedures can be quite confusing. To facilitate the process and carry out all necessary procedures, we offer customs brokerage services. Our experienced specialists will answer all your questions and, if necessary, process all the necessary documents.
To facilitate the provision of accurate information about cargo quantity and weight, we have five units of road, rail and hopper scales installed and continually operating in our territory. These weighting devices are certified and regularly maintained to ensure that weighing results are accurate and reliable at all times.
